The California Latino Judges Association is the voice of the Latino community in California's justice system. Founded in 1996, we represent Latinx bench officers — commissioners, referees, judges, and justices — at every level of the California judiciary, from trial courts to the California Supreme Court.

For nearly three decades, CLJA has worked to close the gap between California's population and its judiciary. Latinos make up 41% of California's residents but only 13% of its judges. That gap is why we exist — and why our work matters.

We build community. We develop leaders. We mentor the next generation of Latinx judicial officers. And we advocate, every day, for a judiciary that truly reflects the people it serves.
